What is Sustainability in the Workplace?
Sustainability in the workplace means employers have to provide a healthy and sustainable work environment. Providing this type of workplace can help to enhance productivity and sustainability. In a business sense, sustainability means developing a holistic continuous improvement process allowing the organisation to conduct operations that will endure through financial, social, economic and political impacts.

Providing a healthy and sustainable work environment helps to promote productivity and create a culture of employees that value the health of their surroundings. Make sure you are contributing to the health of yourself and the environment by taking care to make environmentally responsible decisions. Legislation is the act of making or enacting laws. The current Australian Government policy on the usage of environmental management systems is that government agencies are encouraged to develop and implement an environmental management system for at least one of their sites. As a council, employees and employers are obliged to act under The Environmental Protection Act 1986. The Act provides for the prevention, control and abatement of pollution and environmental harm, for the conservation, preservation, protection, enhancement and management of the environment and for matters incidental to or connected with the foregoing. (Vivid interactive and design, 2016).
The five biggest issues in the Paradise Regional Council are as follows;
1. 500 page report had been copied single sided even though the manager asked for it to be double sided.
2. Procedures for the Work Depot need to be updated. They are not current.
3. When all the employees leave at the end of the day, the lights and air conditioner were left
