Define the environmental issue:
The widespread dominion of immediate ecosystems and atmosphere by means of the expansion of cities and urban environments.
Cities and roads grow like weeds, and act like them too; threatening to suffocate remaining ecosystems and organisms.

Many governmental policies work to encourage urban sprawl.
This may be due to the economic values that lay within urban sprawl.
Groups such as Government Highway Policies are the ones who continually attempt to encourage these urban sprawl occurrences. Summary:

Urban Sprawl is an imminent and immediate threat to the environment that needs to be addressed.
Many factors are negatively affected by urban sprawl, only economic factors are positively affected.
More groups work to rid urban sprawl than there are group that encourage it, however it is mostly the government that encourages it.

It is my opinion that the environment is in immediate danger of being compromised completely by urban sprawl.
I believe that there should be more attempts to stop urban sprawl by the government.
Urban sprawl is harming the environment which should be at the world?s top priority.
