In the book, everyone is given the same treatment and thinks of every man as his brother. Everyone has to agree with ideas before they can become laws or everyday items. Equality is banished for creating a mechanism that he didn’t inform his brothers about. Due to this, he leaves the land and travels into the unknown areas past the city limits. Being free from other people allows a person to explore freely because no one is there to tell them not to do something or change their mind.
