Exact JobBoss is an ERP product offered by Exact America mainly for manufacturing and distribution industries. JobBoss mainly caters to job shop industries such as machine shops, mold/tool die shops, fabrication shops, spring shops, captive shops, stamper shops, and service shops. JobBoss works well for small to mid-size companies and even large-scale companies as well. Gamma Vacuum is a small manufacturing business based in Shakopee, Minnesota. The focus of this small manufacturing company is to be one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ion pumps with its only 23 employees. This is just one of the many success stories that Exact America has with small to mid-size businesses.
Exact JobBoss has many features and comes in three different editions ranging from starter, professional, and enterprise. The ERP system is offered as a Saas or on-site deployment. In accordance to reviews by companies using the ERP, JobBoss provides a portal site or dummy site to train users. JobBoss integrates with Intuit QuickBooks. The major issue for the small manufacturing and distribution companies is cost which is relatively low cost, easy to use, purchase necessary add-ons, and grows with the business as well. JobBoss offers a rental on the software extending a period of 60 months, making it no larger than a monthly cell phone bill. The training is self-paced or on demand training with professionals is also an option.
There are advantages if you are a manufacturing/distribution job shop the software will help aid in managing sales quotes, orders, order creation, MRP, purchasing, inventory control, execution, shop floor management. The disadvantage is this is very industry specific ERP

The upper management has chosen to implement SAP to connect all aspects of the company; accounting, manufacturing, aircraft services, supply inventory, and customer resource management (CRM). Implementing this new information system (IS) will allow the different parts of the company to operate as one, by allowing the various modules in SAP to communicate and exchange data. SAP will replace all of the outdated and splintered software the company currently uses by allowing easier communication between the departments and the programs that are used. The change was started about three years ago and will be completed in about two years for a total of five years to complete and be fully implemented. Connecting all of the different departments will save a tremendous amount of money for the company. Reengineering the IS systems will allow the sales department and customer representatives more easy access to the customer’s information, such as current and future orders, current aircraft service status or new aircraft delivery time; thereby increasing the customers value and customer…
