Pretty much all the cultures that live outdoors and only live off what other people have told them or what their culture has told them, get their food in the same ways. They hunt for their meat and they gather berries and other things like that. Although the eskimos can’t really gather berries since they live in such a cold place, they hunt for all of the other food …show more content…
that they eat. Yes, the animals that the different cultures hunt are very different, but they do catch them in a lot of the same ways. They use sharp sticks (sharp objects/ anything sharp) to kill the animal. They have to be very patient and wait for the right time to pounce. They have to be very precise and make sure they know what they are doing, because if they mess up that might mean that they just don't get to eat that day,
When you live in a place that doesn’t have jobs and doesn’t have schools people tend to learn in different ways.
The Eskimos and the Baka are both those types of people. They don’t start their day waking up early and start getting ready for school/ work, they have to find a way to learn the things that they need to learn in a different way. For the children in both cultures usually the parents ( Most of the time the father) teach their kids what they need to know. They will just basically teach them as they go. Such as hunting the father could bring his child along and show him/her how it’s done, and the mothers show them how to fish or get other types of foods. They kids also just learn by watching and observing what they see in their everyday life, and just follow …show more content…
along.
A lot of people may not know this, but the way the two different cultures build their shelters are very similar.
As several people know the eskimos build their igloos in a dome shape, but not many people know that the bakas build their shelters in a dome shape as well. The dome shape is a very strong shape and they are used to stay strong through all the different types of weather. Although the baka build their shelter out of leaves and twigs ad the eskimos build theirs out of snow, the way that they are made pretty much in the same
ways.
So, In the end we have realized that the baka and the Eskimos are super similar. They hunt and get food in the same ways, they learn in the same ways, and the way that they build their shelters is very similar. It doesn't matter how far apart the two cultures are, even though they might not know that the other exists the way that they live their lives is really similar.
