As a Roman Catholic, I believe that God is our Creator and Father. I believe that He is One with Jesus Christ, His Son and the Holy Spirit in the Holy Trinity. I believe that He is a merciful and loving God who is the only one who knows what will happen to us in our future. I believe that He is merciful because He is always there to forgive us whenever we sincerely ask for it. Despite our sins, He accepts us and ensures that everything that happens to us is for our own good. Because of His mercy He gives us another chance to reconcile with Him so that in the end we will be with Him in Heaven. He is a loving God who even sacrificed His own Son for mankind and it is also because of this love that He has given us everything we could ask for. I believe that He is just and He treats everyone equally. Although He chose certain people who we now know as saints, He did for our own benefit as well so that they will intercede for us. I believe that He is present in our everyday lives through the Holy Spirit as our guide and counsel. I also believe that He answers our prayers and does miracles so that we could even more strengthen our faith in Him.
More importantly, I believe that even though I have not directly seen or experienced God in my life, I should not doubt Him because this is what my faith has taught me. To accept that even my mere existence is a manifestation of God’s own existence. That I am alive and well and I am able to do anything is because of God also. The blessings I have are also because of God thus my life too should be for Him. Other than what my faith dictates me to believe and all that I have, I have no other grounds for believing in
