Many of us don’t know the benefits that we can get from the cactus. One of the health benefits that we can get from it is the anti-inflammation. The ability of the cactus or cacti to fight the inflammation in the muscles, the arteries, the gastrointestinal tract and the cardiovascular system in a known fact. It also decreases or lowers the pain of the people who Have urethra and bladder, bladder infections as well as gallstone. The cactus contains plenty of bioflavonoids quercetin in the cactus which increases the free radicals scavenging capacity- the ability to neutralize cell damaging molecules. There are several studies pointing to the analgestic and anti-inflammatory properties of Optunia or prickly pear cactus. One study has shown that the phytosterols from a cactus contain anti-ulcer and anti-inflammatory properties which combat edema and block the leukocyte migration. As I said earlier cactus is reach in anti-oxidants known as betalains. This anti-oxidants hinder premature aging, encourage the healthy cells and assist in the detoxifications. Another health benefits of cactus is it fights cholesterols. The lofty amounts of soluble fibers in a cactus have been found through research to combat or fight the high level of cholesterol. It contains pectin mucilage and hemicellulose compounds which reduce LDL or bad fat while it is preserving the healthy fats. The other benefit of cactus is it fights or combats diabetes. Cactus are particularly very useful to people suffering from non-insulin diabetes because it has been found to reduce and balance the blood
