Ray Bradbury was born in 1920 and lived to 2012.
Unlike Poe, Bradbury lived a happy life in suburban Illinois. He enjoyed things like magicians, and mostly books. He grew up with a more unwealthy family, so he went to the library to read very often. After, he supported himself by writing newspapers and soon became big during world war II. Bradbury got married and had children ,but outside of his family he just wrote books like non-stop. He got many awards for his great books some like, There Will Come Soft Rains and Fahrenheit 451. His daughters and granddaughters kept him alive in his work, and he has been an inspiration to literary teachers
everywhere. Poe and Bradbury are both incredible authors, but in my opinion I think Poe is more experienced. Like I said, Poe lived a hard and spooky life which are just like the things he writes about. When he writes he gives you that feeling that makes you connect to what he’s writing about. It’s almost like you are in whatever fantasy and it just feels so real. Poe focuses more on deep meanings and striking emotions. While Bradbury focuses more on the “What if?” and the impossible. Poe also writes about the character spilling his guts to the reader. In all Poe is a very mysterious but talented man. In conclusion, Poe and Bradbury are very skilled and intelligent. Poe’s life was full of grief and guilt while Bradbury’s was very bright. Although Poe focuses more on spooky things and Bradbury focuses on the impossible, they both use their life stories in their writing. Through their works they both accomplished a lot in life and they have a big impact on people today.
