Do you think studying history and literature is more important than science and mathematics?
I think that to divide two parts sounds sill 문답식 문장 사용하지 말 것.y. In Korea, when you attend high school
I think that to divide two parts sounds silly.,
Normally, high school students have options to select the subjects in variety. you should select a part that is consisted of history and literature or science and mathematics. Many student would select what they are good at, thus some students select science and mathematics regardless of their interest.-> there is no point!

For instance, my friend was really interested in history and literature. However he was good at solving science and mathematics problems. Although he wanted to be a novelist, his mother forces him to be a doctor. He already passed entering exam for medical university but he has still wanted to be a novelist.

On the other hand, I have heard American education don’t divide like Korean that, so American student can study history, literature, science and mathematics till they graduating high school. I really envy them, actually I want to learn world history and Korean literature. I want to be a biotechnology researcher but sometimes science and mathematics are really boring. So, I want Korean education depart mimic American education ways.

If you concern which part you have classes, I just recommend what you are interested in. To select what you like is more important than what you are good at. Although it could be difficult to learn, but it can’t be boring at all.

Australia’s involvement in the First World War began in the 1914, its actions representative of its support of Britain’s declaration of war. This unity is implied by the amount of men who felt duty bound to serve Britain’s interest, corresponding to 40% of men enlisted who are aged between 18 and 44. Of these amounts, 330000 men went abroad, whilst 60000 passed away and another 150000 returning with injuries (Dyster & Meredith 2012, p.96). Hence, the absence of these men during the period of Wold War One itself signifies major impacts to the Australian economy, coming in the form of a decrease in labour supply, thus triggering changes in the economy to attempt to replace these shortage. This dilemma is further compounded with the difficulties Australia experienced in its trade agreements during the war and its attempt to resolve it through import substitution, which however, triggers both positive and negative changes, hence altering the structure of the economy. Furthermore, the return of the soldiers from war, and Australia’s attempts to reabsorb them to the community also causes difficulties for Australia, which are compounded by the lack of finances involved to act upon this plan, hence straining Australia’s debt.…

Christophe Pelletier, a blogger from British Columbia, wrote “The Locavore’s Dilemma” that first appeared on his blog in 2009. His essay aims to convince his readers that the Locavore movement, where communities only eat and consume products produced within a hundred mile radius, is not realistic and could even cause famine. Pelletier uses facts to scare his audience, logical arguments, and alternatives that people could focus more on, to convince his audience, that an environmentally conscience society would be better than having a locavore system.…

A journey is when one has experienced a dramatic transition in their life, which as a direct result has changed them physically, mentally or emotionally. Throughout Peter Skrzynecki’s poetry, he expresses all types of journeys during his childhood and how he, through very few words in his poems, dealt emotionally with these alterations. In the poems “Crossing the Red Sea”, “Immigrants at Central Station” and “Leaving Home” Skrzynecki explores the use of poetic techniques through his poems such as metaphors, repetition, and similes giving the reader a sense of the challenges he encountered or was about to encounter. In my related text, “Castaway” by Robert Zemeckis it discovers the difficulty of sticking to your physical journey while balancing the inner struggle (journey). It also shows how Tom Hanks (Chuck Noland) deals with the different obstacles that he is to face on the island alone through the use of a variety of film techniques.…

Some of the biggest differences include: students in Korea attending school from eight in the morning to ten-o’clock at night, having almost no transportation except riding a lot of busses and taxis, teenagers not being able to drive until they are 20 years old, not being able to own a separate house (unless one is really wealthy) and living in apartments due to population. Soyeong said that the schooling is very different and is taken more seriously. They also have to wear school uniforms and are not allowed to dye their hair or wear make-up. Being away from Korea may sound better to Americans, but Soyeong misses the food, family, and friends as she stated, “The food here is saltier and greasy”. Obviously this is a huge change for Soyeong, but she likes it here too. Most public schools in the United States allow students to wear make-up and dye their hair. Koreans attend school seven more hours than Weston-McEwen High School and that is Soyeong’s favorite part about being here is…

We all have judged a book by its cover, thinking that it wouldn't be worth to open and read just because the cover doesn't look so cool and popular like other books that we know today. However, as soon as you read it, you find out that you were wrong and that the book is nice and interesting, probably the best book you have ever read! See? This is the problem that we face nowadays. Most of the time, people judge when they don't know the whole story, we judge someone because they look different and don’t have the same appearance as you. They might look scary, lonely and shy. But who knows, what if they are really nice and polite. A person shouldn’t be about his appearance or looks or if he is pleasing. It is what is on the inside that really matters.…

As children, we are expected to study diligently at a young age so we can get into the best school possible and obtain an amazing job to not end up being deemed a “failure”. This standard is especially true of South Korean youths. In South Korea, society’s hopes for students are high, even at a young age. High school students study in majority of their free time, all for the sake of succeeding, and in turn, lack a “real” social life. “Children, we like to believe, should have time to play and dream and sleep” (Gladwell 266). This is the opposite case in South Korea. Korea’s expectation for students is to study now and, after they ensured admission to a respectable university, live later. With their society’s portrayal of the perfect child as one of exceptional intelligence and outstanding grades, people, especially those of the Korean ethnicity, are portrayed in society as brains and bookworms who study tirelessly all for the sake of success.…
