Essay Eng Parents
It is said that ‘respect for one’s parents is the highest duty of civil life’. We celebrate days honouring our parents such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day but do we really focus enough on respecting them?
Parents
By: Nur Raihan Fathini binti Zairudin For some people, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day have been a long-awaited red letter days and have their hands full in preparing such important celebration for their parents. To be honest, I can’t even remember the date. This is because, personally, I see these kinds of celebration are unimportant as everyday should be a celebration day of both our parents. In fact, celebrating them is unequal to respecting them. Since we were small, we received formal and informal education on respecting our parents. All the whys and what should we dos have been answered since then. However, as we are living our life, some of us tend to be forgetful on their duties as a child. This can be proved by the increase in the number of occupants in the homes of the elderly. Some of us left our parents there and yet still walk proudly saying that they respect their parents. This kind of cases happened due to us being too busy focusing on pursuing our dreams in life. We tend to care less about our parents yet they are the one that have been our main supporters for us since the start. As we are busy growing up, we often forget that our parents are getting older too. It is not possible for us to repay all their deeds and sacrifices towards us simply because they are countless. However, we still can at least do something to show that we heartily respect and appreciate their presences in our life. Cherish every moment with them because once they are gone from your life, it is impossible to turn back time. In a nutshell, parents are two very precious and priceless gifts that God has granted to us.

And since my parents never showed even the slightest signs of weakness, fatigue, or dejection, I grew up under the warmth of their radiant, loving smiles. However, looking back, I took a lot for granted, mistakenly believing that everything they did for me was merely expected. Similarly, I regret all those stubborn and meaningless arguments I’d have with them over the minute details. At these moments, I did not recognize how grateful and fortunate I actually was to have such devoted, loving parents.…

Every parent has his own personal philosophy of child rearing. Many issues are controversial because there are supporting facts to both opinions. Advice to Parents Essay

As a person grows up and matures, they need to learn how to handle things on their own. A mother and father can not always be there to hold a child’s hand and walk them through every step of the way. There is a point when a parent needs to just let go and let that child take on the world on their own. As a growing, maturing person, people need to learn to do things on their own, and that can never happen if they still have a mom or dad trying to hold their hand through every life experience. If a parent does that, then their child grows up not knowing anything about the world he/she lives in. They do not know how to do anything on their own. Also, whenever a parent picks up their kid from school, they always ask, “How was your day”, do not do that.…
