Essay Letter To Rudy
To whom this may concern,
This letter is to inform and detail events that have occurred throughout the last six years of Rudy and me life together. I married my best friend Rudy Moreno on January 3rd 2010 just one month shy of the birth of our son. When first dating Rudy was the most genuine and compassionate gentleman I had met in quite some time. Fortunately, at no point early in our relationship was he hostile or used inappropriate language in my presence or the children. Unfortunately, things changed drastically shortly after moving in with him, I noticed right away insignificant situations would affect him to the point that he would take off running when infuriated unable to deal or cope with the given situation. He has a challenging time dealing with emotion and will get irate if he has hurt me and I am crying due to the circumstance. I will never forget one night being woken up with his hands around my throat and him shaking me profusely, fortunately he quickly realized that it was me and everything was

He has such a fluctuation in moods in regards to the smallest situations and has expressed life as being a game and him winning at any cost. This has caused a lot of turmoil in our relationship to the point that I have left and moved out on two separate occasions, unable to continue to take the verbal abuse I encounter when Rudy feels as if he is being attacked. When it comes to our children, he expects a quiet house usually getting very irritated or exacerbated when it is too loud. He will avoid playing games with his step-son that involve any type of violence or war related material and often states he has done it in real life. In addition to him feeling as if the kids are planning or plotting behind his back and are up to no good. He has a difficult time communicating with me and consistently feels as if I am against him in any given

Throughout history, discoveries are constantly being challenged, questioned and their worth reassessed. As a result of texts’ questioning nature, responders gain a deeper insight into the subject matter which heightens or lessens their credibility. This is evident in Simon Nasht’s documentary Frank Hurley-The Man Who Made History (2004) and Hannah Kent’s historical fiction Burial Rites published in 2013. Via the use of literary and filmic techniques, notably narration, montage, point of view and embellished retelling, each composer provokes questioning and challenging of the historical, artistic and moral worth of their text’s subject matter, in turn producing new perspectives on and deeper insight into motives, nature and worth of the discovery.…

My approach to writing my letter was very different than my approach to a writing a typical research essay. Instead of appealing to a professor, I was appealing to someone on more of an emotional level instead of an intellectual level. Although I discussed some facts in my letter, I did not go into nearly as much depth as I would in an essay. I also was trying to ask for something in my letter, where in an essay, I am trying to give the reader information not gain information from the reader. I felt more comfortable writing my letter because it was more like a typical conversation or an email. I could have more freedom with what I say and not have to follow as strict of guidelines. The letter felt more like me because it was all from my own brain and not mainly research that I had collected. I will use my experience with writing this letter to benefit future letters because I know a good structure for a letter that I can use for future letters. I also know how to incorporate all three aspects of rhetoric so it is more likely for me to get a response.…

Scholarship and leadership are the two pillars that I feel complement each other because one should be a leader in the community and school without forgetting to be a good student and scholar. Service and character go well together because in order to provide services to students or members of the community, it is necessary to have a good character in order to help others.…

Within the poem “If ”, the narrator, a father advises his son, “ If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you/ But make allowance for their doubting too/...Or, being lied about, don’t deal in lies/ Or being hated don’t give way to hating” (Stanza 1). The father instructs his son to do things for himself, even if others disagree, and to keep his ground if people lie and gossip about him behind his back. Similarly in To Kill a Mockingbird, a father goes against the existing social code and reminds his children, “They’re certainly entitled to think that, and they’re entitled to full respect for their opinions...but before I can live with other folks I’ve got to live with myself.…
