In this epic poem, Beowulf does just that. Beowulf fights giants and immortal monsters. A normal human cannot fight and defeat a monster with 3 times its strength. Beowulf has extreme strength and is able to do this. His super strength is the main evidence of his superhuman strength. The endurance of a normal human is nothing compared to the endurance of Beowulf. In a swimming match against Brecca, a childhood friend, Beowulf swims for 7 days and nights without stopping. Plus, he carried a sword and battled three sea monsters. Beowulf proves his super strength again when he battles Grendel, “Forward he stepped, stretched out his hands to seize the warrior…but the faster man forestalling, sat up, sent back his arm”. Beowulf rips Grendel’s arm off with more power than Grendel had ever seen, more strength than a normal human could ever have. Beowulf uses no weapons to defeat Grendel, only using his superhuman strength. Beowulf only uses his strength to defeat Grendel, furthermore proving Beowulf has superhuman strength when he rips Grendels arm off with his bare hands and takes it back with him and hangs it on the wall as his little
