More than once she gossips to the kids about Arthur Radley and the Tom Robinson trial. She was a very bad influence because she was raised to think these ways. When they are talking about Boo in the book she gossips about how he stabbed his father and was thrown into jail, and she constantly told the children about horrible things that he had supposedly done. “"So Jem received most of his information from Miss Stephanie Crawford, a neighborhood scold, who said she knew the whole thing. According to Miss Stephanie, Boo was sitting in the livingroom cutting some items from 'The Maycomb Tribune' to paste in his scrapbook. His father entered the room.
