One group fears that censoring textbooks would affect students because they believe they deserve to know the truth. Which gives them ,the students, the opportunity to know the truth about the pass, like famous historians Martin Luther King Jf., and what their parents went through. On the other hand the parents who believe history textbooks should be censored because they want to protect their kids from the negativity in the world so by publishers censoring history textbooks helps a lot on their part. After weeks of protest in Colorado the community came together at the school boardroom, “It’s not immediately clear whether the committee will review the history course, only that the meetings must be held in public. Still many students and parents remain concerned that the conservative board will use the committee to change history as well as other courses, Fox Denver reported” (Bever n. pg.). For instance, at the school board of Colorado it was not clear how the board would change the curriculum. The concern of censoring history textbooks is still high in students, parents, and the community because the question is what is the resolution to this situation which is still unclear to the community. Although this event made a mark in history it’s not the only event that dealt with censoring history
