When a tree fell in July and destroyed her family’s mobile home in Leicester, North Carolina. Kwana Bailey considered giving up. Perhaps it was time to throw in the towel, the mother of six wondered. Maybe she would go camp out in front of the social services until someone came to her aid. Her landlord was refusing to fix her property, and being homeless for the second time was a setback, she wasn’t sure if she could handle it. Then, Bailey remembered why she cleaned up her act in the first place called non-profit homeless service provider, Homeward Bound of North Carolina. Later, Kwana Bailey had a new home within a month and new higher-paying job in August. Poverty is known to bring you down for a period of time. Child poverty effects many children in today’s society. For people to understand and defeat it, many must look at its causes, also the effects on child poverty and how it’s treated.

Many of those who suffer from poverty will likely notice their children will also experience it. One effect it has on families is that it increases the probability/likelihood that their children will experience poverty in their everyday life. To illustrate this issue take the case of Bailey, she knows what it is like to grow up in poverty first hand and pushes her kids to have a different life than hers. Parents always want to provide a better life for their children than they lived through growing up. Because of the number of people suffering from poverty, society has had to face several corresponding impacts on children living at home. The study shows that stressful and traumatic childhood memories including poverty cause social health and economic development. Evidence shows the negative impact poverty takes effect on children in society .Therefore after looking at the effects on child poverty in families and society, this shows how it has hard tasks on
