Chile and The United States

Chile is a lot different than the United States. The first thing that is probably most recognizable is the language. 18.2% of the people in the US speak spanish. 42% of the people in the US speak english. On the other hand only .7% of people speak english in Chile.99.3% of people speak spanish in Chile.

Another thing that is really different between the US and Chile are sports. For example the most popular sport in the US is American Football. IN Chile the most popular sport is football.(called soccer in the US)The most successful sport in the US is the NFL(National Football League) Revenue=$13 billion. The most successful sport in Chile in tennis.

The population as of 2016 for Chile is 17.91 million. In the US though the population of 2016 is 323.1 million.

There is one thing that is very similar between the two countries and it is their religion. 83% of adults are christian in the US. As in Chile 65% of adults are christian.

A BIG difference in the two countries is culture. Chiles culture is mostly spanish and indigenous.In the US is mostly Native American. The reason that the US is mostly Native American is back then before English came and settled in America the Native Americans were there. Which lead to wars over land and then Native americans reproduced and Native American runs through the blood of so many families now.

Another thing that is different is the currency used at each country. For america they have the US dollar bill. The dollar bill is made out of special paper. The paper is 75% cotton, and 25% linen. The US dollar bills always has a US president's face on it. The currency used in Chile is Chilean peso. The peso is just a piece of paper with printed things on it. One thing that is printed on it is the number. The number ranges from 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000 and 20000 peso. 20000 pesos are worth 1,079
