Creative Curriculum Model of Teaching I enjoy using the creative curriculum when working with the preschool children by using many hand on activities. The curriculum allows children to explore in their own way. The children’s learning experiences enable use of critical thinking skills to help them to develop confidence and creativity. The Creative Curriculum creates a warm and secure environment. It helps children to develop confidence and independence. The children will use words to describe their ideas. Most early Childhood programs approach learning through play. The children progress at the own pace and could revisit their unfinished activity later. Mathematic was used by manipulation, counting, shapes, measurements and quantifies. Science is used when exploring the environment, earth and living things. We use the same technique with our Teaching Strategies Gold and School Readiness that was developed for learning experiences. The Creative Curriculum is an excellent choice for Home Base because children are able to pursue more play because they spend more time at home. The Home Base Program is stress free because all materials and lesson plans are provided to the families. The modification I would use would be at home, we do not have a lot of equipment outside for physical so we improvise with what we have included swings and stairs. We use our motor by running, jumping, skipping, climbing and riding small objects. We do not have a classroom, but the homes are set up with teaching supplies. We use large rugs and create a word wall and the families are supplied with teaching material to help learning development skills. The textbook supports my analysis because all children should be encouraged to express their feelings. Children should use their imaginations in all learning settings.
