I always try to see the greatest good for the greater number in people. I try to figure out how each side or person will be affected by my decision, I sometimes make a selfish choice, because it best suits my situation. I try to pick the one that creates the less pain and more pleasure for everyone. I respect others and their views even if they differ from mine. I did not know what deontology was previous to this class. I believe I sometimes I could use this ethical theory in conjunction with utilitarianism. Deontology is the study of duty. Deontologists argue that human beings sometimes have duties to perform certain actions, regardless of the consequences. I would use this too, because police officers have a duty to the community/ state they are on the police force with. I believe my views have changed. I did not realize that somethings such as the war on drugs, three strikes law, use of torture in the war on terror, supermax prisons, and college education for inmates. I really learned so much about representing the poster and listening to the others presentations. I really enjoyed those a lot. I did not realize so many dilemmas were hurting us as a society in a whole. Thank you, for being a wonderful professor and a great
