3316Malaki Roberson Period 4 Technology paper In Football technology it talks about new sports science and the new advanced technology coming into our young and healthy generation. In the NFL they have lots of new types of technology.The NFL has changed multiple times throughout the years. “A concussion is a brain injury; the only known cure for brain injury is prevention. While helmets can protect against skull fractures and more serious brain injuries, they cannot prevent a concussion; therefore, it is vitally important to be well-informed about how to prevent a concussion.” The Riddell speedflex, Riddell 360 revolution, Xenith X2E, and also the Xenith epic have high quality padding inside the shell of the helmet to prevent concussions and or brain damage. …show more content…
It also has a sternum plate on the front and the back of the shoulder pad to prevent chest and spinal injuries. In the NFL the players have tablets on the sideline, for instance the quarterback has to have a tablet so they can read the coverage the corners are in and what are the key threats on the other side of the ball. These tablets have changed the way coaches and players perspectives on the field. The only thing wrong with the surface tablet is that it isn’t suitable for games in the rain or snow. New technology in the NFL is the new broadcast system for the fans to get a new defined picture of the players while they are in the stands.
