In a land far, far away, in a place called Mesopotamia, The people were scattered and never worked together until, Hammurabi came and changed everything. Hammurabi is known for his code of laws. A code of laws is a collection of written laws and rules. He made these laws because the gods told him to. Hammurabi was known for one big reason. He made the first code of laws that brought the city states together. First, he started writing the laws in 1792 B.C.E and he finished them in 1750 B.C.E. There was a reason he wrote the laws.
