I believe that more people can be assisted, but I also believe that those who truly do not need the assistance will qualify for benefits.
I am conflicted on increasing payroll taxes for higher-income taxpayers. I would not knowingly work harder, obtain more education, and climb the ladder of success if I knew I would be penalized with higher taxes. Increasing tax responsibility for only the workers that make more money discourages workers to advance in their career, which would lead me to believe that such actions could be counterproductive.
Employers, who have greater than 50 employees, will be penalized for not providing health care benefits for employees. I believe that working people should have insurance benefits, and I believe that employers should assist, if not completely cover the cost. Many businesses would fail if that requirement were part of the operating expense. In my idea of a perfect world, businesses would not be able to obtain a license and open if unable to provide what I think is an automatic working
