This is How They Were Placed For Us is a poem written By Luci Tapahonso. The Poem talks about how our sacred mountains are our teachers and they teach us how to live our daily lives. For example Blanca Peak wakes us up in the morning and sets our living standards. She teaches us to create. Mount Taylor tells us to eat and reminds us of our strengths and goals and has taught us to believe in all ways of learning. San Francisco Peaks taught us to believe in our strong families and to value our relatives. Hesperus Peak tells us to go to sleep and she tells us to always have hope for the good things in life. Lastly Huerfano Mountain is draped in sacred and precious jewels. She teaches us how to dress with the fabrics and sacred jewels. This poem was about how the Sacred Mountains have taught us how to live our lives, how they makes us strong individuals, and they represent the four times of day and the different seasons.
One the second stanza of page 39 It tells us that Blanca Peak sets our ways of living. It also mentions later on that we think and create because of her. Mount Taylor teaches us to believe in all ways of learning. On page 40 it mentions that “ We envision our goals as we gaze southward” which hints to the fact that Mount Taylor inspires us to reach our goals. One way this could be fallacious is because they would not believe that the mountains impact our lives in a healthy manner, or how they could play a big role in our time keeping schedules. Lastly a person might disagree with how the mountains teach us because mountains are just a physical appearance in the environment we live
