“What does it mean to be a Profession of Arms?”

What is a Professional? A Person who have the knowledge, Expertise in a there career field
What is an HR Professional? A Person who career field primary function is Personnel and adminis-trative Support.
What is The Profession of Arms? Outlook based on expects and functions of the Armed Forces Branch.
“The Army as a profession of Arms is a unique vocation.” (The Profession of Arms; CG Tradoc 8 December 2010). When asked what does it means to be a Profession of Arms, is as not easily explained as if you were asking a Police Officer what does it means to be a COP. The HR Sergeant is one of the most important career field in all branches of the Military.

To be labeled as a U.S. Army Professional Soldier’s needs to be inspired, mentored and shaped. Within some degree of the Human Resources Profession there is no room for errors, example, during emergency crisis, or war time. For a long time now I asked myself, am I truly an example of a “Profession of Arms,” answers is yes; the primary reason is that I am a sub-ject matter expert in varies areas of the Army Human Resource Military Occupation Specialty (MOS). The main HR function is personnel and administrative support no matter if you service company level to Division level, From level to level the HR responsibilities can increase or de-crease provided your level of expertise and knowledge, if you do not possess the expertise within the Army Profession of Arms life can become difficult really quickly. It’s not a game when you are dealing with other Soldiers futures and careers, they are dependent upon you to know the regula-tions, give guidance and support when needed. Human Resources Specialist is the main resource to information and communication you must be able to think on your feet, function under stress, and close the gap if miscommunication happens within the
