Hurricane Sandy
Hurricane Sandy happened only four years ago, and caused lots of damage to the East Coast. I remember seeing all of the damage shown on TV, along with the newly homeless people. Hurricane Sandy included any details common to hurricanes ad caused damage and destruction to property that affected the region, but the area has been recovered its aftermath. Many parts of this disaster are common to Hurricanes. Many people had died during this terrible disaster. More than 280 people had died mostly from drowning in the flooded water in their homes. The Department of the Interior is investing $787 million for Hurricane Sandy recovery to clean up and repair damaged national parks and wildlife refuges. There was so many other things they used the $787 million dollar recovery money for such as; restore and strengthen coastal marshes, wetlands and shoreline; connect and open waterways to increase fish passage and improve flood resilience; and bolster local. Some people ended up paying for the own recovery parts from the disaster f their own house if it wasn’t much of a disaster. Only 2 people in each city had that happen to them. Hurricane Sandy happened only four years ago, and caused lots of damage to the East Coast. Hopefully nothing as bad as Hurricane Sandy happens again because a lot people lives were taken away and many of their houses were taken away to. It was a very sad experience for those who had to go through and see all of the people weather they were friends and family or not knowing them at all but just knowing so many people died from just one natural disaster.
