Essay On Informative Self Evaluation
Name: Jarren Calizo
Informative Self-Evaluation
Organization
What did you do to ensure that your speech was organized/accessible to the audience?
In my presentation, I provided my audience with simple presentation visuals that clearly exhibit the main points that I were covering. Implementing techniques, such as the 6x6 rule and using few ideas per slide, helped the slides become more understandable to everyone. I also followed organizational patterns to clearly impose each section of our checklists (sections in introduction, body & conclusion).
What could you have done to make your ideas more organized/accessible to the audience?
My ideas could have been better if the font sizes would be a little larger so that the audience can read it more clearly.

The most beneficial thing for me throughout this whole speech was that I had a great interest in the topic that I presented to my classmates. I know that the topic of lucid dreaming would work because not a lot of people truly know what it is and I wanted to learn it myself. It’s a topic where everyone should be able to connect to since we all dream. Wouldn’t it be cool if we all knew how to control dreams that we know we are in? Being fond for my topic really helped me deliver this speech a lot.
What are three specific things you will change next time to improve your speaking? For one, I will change the fact that I use go-to words a lot in presenting to audiences. This includes phrases like “basically”, “I mean”, and “like”. Also, I should make more eye contact with the audience instead of looking at my notes for reference. Finally, I have to practice my presentation in front of a mirror or record myself beforehand because I need to work on my pauses and know my lines without having to bring out any notecards. By doing these three things, it would help my presentation skills in front of audiences a lot and would give me more confidence when

Women are known to be great fans of shoes. At last count, Philippine Politician Imelda Marcos had over 2,500 pairs of shoes. Although Mrs. Marcos’ love for shoes is extreme, it is a very good example of how women love their shoes. Since most women have about one percent of the money Mrs. Marcos’ has, they must deal with enjoying their measly fifteen or twenty pair of shoes. One desire a woman of Imelda’s wealth and most other women share is quality. Some shoes are bought at big name stores like Dillard’s, Macy’s or Shoe Warehouse but some women have found that the Payless Shoe Store shoes have lasted just as the long. I took a couple of slow deep breaths before I started. I focus in on my audience. Instead of looking down while doing my speech I look around the room making eye contact with everyone. I remembered that they are individual people, they are my classmates. I worked on the introduction so my speech will get off to a good start. I use video to create interest, draw attention away from me. My voice was not as shaky; therefor my tone of voice was smooth. I used my arm and hands to help tell my story effectively and drive home my main…

Self Evaluation: I think I did an overall good job as a manager today. I came prepared to class with all of the necessary documents, knowledge of the menu, and knowledge of my assignments for the day. My strengths include arriving to class on time, remaining focused during service, and completing all of my assigned tasks. I was able to do those things effectively by preparing for the day prior to coming to class. My weaknesses include, placing water in the glasses before service, turning the music on in time, and adjusting the lights. By paying more attention to detail and watching the clock, I will be able to better handle those mistakes in the future.…

You would start by focusing on your topic to ensure that it conforms to what is being asked of you as a presenter. You now move to further developing the topic. This is truly a creative process as you want to think of ways to make the presentation meaningful, but also have some hooks to keep the audience engaged. For instance, well placed humor is always a good option, however, you never use it as a weapon or to target a person or groups. The use of descriptive and colorful language will help your story flow and allow the audience to fully use their imagination.…
