In Matthew 5-7, Jesus talks, about how, the Pharisees and Pagans, do many simple things wrong, like praying, almsgiving, and just following rules God set out for them. For example, the Pharisees, pray in front of everyone, announcing that they are praying, but that is not how God wants you to pray. You and God, should be the only ones knowing you are praying, if you keep humble, then you will be rewarded. I think, that if you are going to do something to please God, or anyone, they should be the only ones that need to know, and give you their approval. The first one is,”the damage inflicted by the aggressor on the nation or community of nations must be lasting, grave, and certain”. This means that the damage by the attacker, which could be a country or a group of people, has to have a lasting and drastic effect on a country or a group of people. The second one is,”all other means of putting an end to it must have been shown to be impractical or ineffective”. This is saying, that war is last resort, all safety precautions and tactics have been used and all ways to stop or prevent to war have been used, but have failed. The third is,”there must be serious prospects of success”. This is saying that, you must have a legitimate chance to, win the war, defend yourself and people, stop the aggressor, and succeed in getting rid of the aggressor. The final one is,”the use of arms must not produce evils and disorders graver than the evil to be eliminated”. This means that when you attack or defend to stop the war, you must not use anything worst that the aggressor did to you. It must be less or equal.
