Lord Macbeth addressed the murder by slaughtering the guards out of pure anger that his beloved king has been killed by cowards. Macbeth stated in an interview “I was so furious that my beloved king had been murdered in my castle by those cowardly guards that it was my duty to avenge him.”

King Duncan’s two sons have fled Scotland.
Nobody has any accounts of seeing them after the murder. A popular theory amongst the people say that they have fled to either Ireland or England. Due to the abrupt departure the sons are looked upon as prime suspects for the murder.

It is speculated that the murder was performed due to a power hungry individual. Although Macbeth is a loyal nobleman and thane he is also suspected of the murder. Reporters have said that he seemed awfully nervous when he was asked several questions. The crown is passed down to the king's kin. This makes Macbeth a less likely suspect than the sons. Guards are investigating this crime. Duncan was buried in the courtyard of his castle among where the other past kings rest in
