Although mandatory military service may be required in some countries, that does not mean we have to. Requiring national service could cause more casualties. Having this mandatory military service will take away money: from keeping our parks clean, having our trash picked up every Monday, having monuments in Washington D.C., having the importance of remembering what our history is. Military service should not be mandatory for everyone because National service does not need unqualified people, mandatory service will cost the government a fortune, and some teens want to continue their …show more content…
The citizens claim that they have voice and a choice. However, military lifestyle is not the lifestyle many want to live. Getting up at 0500 every morning and getting off at 1700. That is a 12 hour work shift. Many people are still sleeping at 0500 in the morning. Also the money put into having every single American in The United States. The opposition also claims that “why live in this country if you would not give up your life for the country?” However, some people cannot have a military lifestyle; they either are disabled or even cannot handle that kind of lifestyle. Mandatory military service should not pass as a law. Certainly, remember that the cost per military personnel 99,000, as well as working 12 hour shifts. For that reason alone, mandatory military service should not be required because national service does not need unqualified people, mandatory service will cost the government a fortune, and some kids want to continue their education to college right after high school. Debating whether we have mandatory military service is tough but the right choice is no mandatory service, lets fight for our

In the movie the military represents a dangerous force they take advantage of their power and part of their colony die in battle. But in this movie there is only one Dictatorship running the army the queen does not get into the dissection but can make the last. I think we do need a military, not to be fighting with other countries but to train teenagers and young adults discipline and to be all they can be. Having the military also benefits us greatly by having our country secured so our army will stop those enemies that want to attack us.…

Military Units have had a tremendous impact on history since the beginning of time. They protect and defend sovereign states. These military units often lack the numbers to protect their country. This has created a large debate over a military draft. There are two sides, those for and those against. The debate over the draft is endless. Great points can be made from either side of the argument over the draft, but the there is a more logical solution to resolve this issue: the U.S draft should be reinstated.…

Do you think we need a military draft? I think that we do not need a military draft. There are no good reasons why we should possibly throw are life away when we don't want to. There are many good reasons against a military draft as you will read later, but first I will explain what a military draft is in case you don't know. A military draft is a way to fill in the areas where volunteering doesn't fill and when you get a license you have a number that goes with you and during a draft there will be random numbers chosen and if your number is called then you will have to serve in the military, but for only for one term unless you want to stay longer.…

I do not believe that the United States should institute in the practice of requiring people to serve in the military. While it would be very loyal to the United States, I think people should have the rights to choose their own career and not be forced into something they have no interest in. Also with so many people being forced into the military for one or more years, other jobs would not have people to fill up positions, important jobs such as police officers, doctors, teachers, or even people in entertainment. Which would really change up the economy.…

As of today, the military has a volunteer service only as its profile. As stated in a Farlex dictionary a military volunteer is “a person who freely enlists for service”. Any american citizen over 18 can volunteer for any branch regardless of gender, ethic, or religion. Other than soldiers, doctors, lawyers, scientists and a wide range of other careers are recruited and used in the military. The volunteer system supports the Declaration of Independence's phrase of guaranteeing citizens the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” by giving Americans the freedom of choice to chose to serve the country, or live about freely. The majority of America doesn't like the idea of having a draft introduced again, since it doesn’t exactly fit the phrase of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”, in all aspects of citizens trying to achieve the “American Dream”. Though the majority of citizens is…

The controversy surrounding the military draft has since its inception to its repeal in the nineteen-seventies; however the vitality of the draft remains because United States may need more than a volunteer army, it requires everyone to serve, and higher trained and educated people are needed to run new technology. The first reason is the military may need more than a volunteer army to defend the nation in a national emergency. In the U.S. constitution the government has the right the raise and maintains an army as long as the conflict is still going on. The draft was then repealed but is still in effect. The last reason the U.S. may need more than a volunteer army is because the United States may need it to maintain the security of the nation. The second reason the United States needs the draft is because everyone needs to serve their country. Every male eighteen to twenty-six must register for the draft because it is still a law even since it was repealed. It offers a lot of benefits to those who comply to the laws if the draft is used. There are very severe penalties for not registering at age eighteen. This may be considered not a draft even though they must register at eighteen. Not all American males will be drafted for many different reasons. Would the new draft require women to register also? The third reason…

In some countries, every young person must serve two years of military service. The general public in the United States feels that we should allow that in our country while other people disagree. A two-year period of military service should be mandatory for all young adults, but making the devotion to serving that time in the military should be each individual’s decision. Personally, young adults should be able to live their lives of how they want it, and other mature people should be able to volunteer for the military. Each individual should be able to make their own choices in life and not be forced to do something they strongly disagree with. Granting opportunities to young and mature people will help the military enlist a mature recruit, strengthen the military clan, and attract even more people to join in the military. We should be able to grant choices to the young and mature adults and respect their decision.…

No, I don’t believe that the U.S. Government is serving the populace in the most diligently way possible. Today which is different from the service people of even my father’s era? In his day back in 1946 WWII had just ended. Though women were on the front lines as nurses they weren’t there as a moving part of the military, flying planes, driving tanks, on board of ships to bearing a weapon. Times are a changing! Poor grammar yes but that was the way that phrase goes. Now today also gays and Lesbians are allowed to be “Out and proud”! We were always there just now we have a voice and a Right to openly serve. We have always been in the military defending our neighbors.…

Personally I don’t believe that the U.S. should make citizens serve in the military. I believe this because people should be able to choose what they want to do in life and what they want to study and what they want to make of themselves. Often people don’t even have the physical strength or abilities to join the military, or the mental state to serve. Yes, I know that our country needs protection but we need other things too.…

Should the United States require all adults to perform one year of community service by the age of 30? I personally think this is a topic that is not at all, relevant. I believe if someone wants to lend a helping hand, then they should lend a helping hand. If you don't prefer to do this kind of community service, the government shouldn't force you to do so. There would be a lot of change in how community service is done today if the government required at least one year to be served by the age of 30.…
