The only thing I was worried about was having two new teachers. I didn’t know if they would be good or bad, smart and intelligent, tall or small. I didn’t know any of it. When I first met Mr. Knights I thought he was pretty chill. He was an amazing teacher and I have learned a lot from his class. No, I am not saying this because I am writing this for his class. It comes from my experience being able to walk into his room everyday. Ms. Hageman was a whole different story. I walked into her room and I absolutely hated it! The first day of school, it seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing. It is completely understandable because she is fresh out of college, but she has had the experience from student teaching and just college in general. It seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing for the first quarter of the year. It was about 1-2 months in the school year and we were on chapter 3, Learning about functions. Chapter 3 was a disaster. Nobody knew what they were doing! Eventually everybody in the Algebra 1 class told their parents. Ms. Hageman had multiple parents every morning coming and talking to her, making sure she straightened up. Students including me were starting to bud heads with her. None of the students liked her. No one wanted to ask her for help on assignments or anything. No one was turning in their homework on
