Radiation sickness is no enemy a person would wish to encounter, so why do we knowingly subject innocent animals to endure our tests, just to see how harmful radiation is? There are many ways to experiment on an animal, like injecting or force feeding, exposure to radiation, surgically removing organs or tissue to deliberately cause damage, forcing them to inhale toxic gas, and subjecting them in frightening situations to create anxiety and depression ("Cruelty Free International.") It may sound sadistic, and twisted, but put a little trust in the way of science, and let’s look at how animal testing has positive and negatives. One ferocious way we use small creatures to improve life, is treating and preventing cancer. There are infinite ways to acquire any type of cancer, but scientists aren’t sure how to stop or prevent it yet. No one particularly enjoys cancer, so we sure as heck aren’t going to inject an innocent and gullible human with cancerous toxins, so our best bet is furry little creatures. The most common form now, is petri dish testing, which has been proven to be more effective than animal testing, because petri dishes can produce more relevant information.
