The Racial segregation starts after the end of WW2. There was a demand for houses for troops who are coming home from the war. Major housing developments happened and the suburbia’s were created. Many of the African Americans fighting in the war wanted to buy homes in these new suburbs. The only problem was there was a research that said one or more diverse families moved into the neighborhood it would lower retail prices. This forced the non-Caucasian families to move to more red on the redlining maps. The red on these maps showed the neighborhoods with low retail prices (a lot of minorities lived here). There has been causes of restrictive covenant laws in Seattle. A town called Levittown is the best example of restrictive covenant.
