Essay On Racial Slurs

My 5 racial slurs that affect me do not have to come just from another race to negatively affect me, but could come from my own race. I am one who does not experience much of racial slurring from other races. Nigga/Nigger, ghetto, snitch, bitch, and Uncle Tom are words that are the most affective words to say to me. The word nigga and nigger are both words that I do not care to say or hear. I have been raised up around the word nigga all my life and it still has not made the list of my normal words to describe someone in a good way. While at the same time, the word nigger is used by other race to degrade an individual within the black race. My mind would not let me separate the two from being negative so I do not care to use or hear them. I do not like
The word ghetto is to be used to describe a location not describe someone’s action. I truly dislike when people call someone ghetto because they do something different then they would do. The word snitch is another degrading word I do not like to be called. Disliking and calling someone a snitch because they told on an individual, whom committed a crime within their neighborhood, may be worse than calling me a nigger. I could understand the code of “don’t snitch” among criminals, but to call someone who is trying to protect their own neighborhood from crime, a snitch is just ridicules. If you are not involved in the crime and you are protecting yourself and your community, it is not considered snitching. The word bitch may be the top of the top words that affects me negatively the most. Being a strong black male I hold myself to a high standard and the word bitch is the lowest of low type of male to be.
