Majority of village people have understood that education is mandatory for a better life and it is the only way by which they could get rid of their poverty. But due to financial crisis they could not. For them they have to work day and night just to earn something which could ensure their food security. Education is still a secondary issue. And this is one of the reasons that parents actually want their children to become a helping hand in the process of earning a living rather than going to school. In order to attract such section of society government have taken major steps. Various schemes have been brought up , like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan and mid day meals. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan was brought up by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government . It’s main goals being bringing up more and more schools in areas where they lack and developing infrastructures of the existing schools. And also to bring in new teachers and enhance the quality of education. In order to attract more children to school, the mid day meal was started. This scheme proved to be good.
