According to an encyclopedia, “A tax refund or tax rebate is a refund on taxes when the tax liability is less than the taxes paid. Taxpayers can often get a tax refund on their income tax if the tax they owe is less than the sum of the total amount of the withholding taxes and estimated taxes that they paid, plus the refundable tax credits that they claim.” So it’s really just if you paid more in to taxes, you get a refund. They had more withheld on their w-2’s keeps from paying back into the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). If the government was to raise taxes, a lot of people wouldn’t have much money then wouldn’t qualify for a tax refund. Therefore, a lot of people would be upset. There are many different types of government. The different types of government are; Absolute Monarchy, Anarchy, Authoritarian, Commonwealth, Communist, Confederacy, Constitutional, Constitutional democracy, Constitutional monarchy, Democracy, Democratic republic, Dictatorship, Ecclesiastical, Emirate, Federal, Federal Republic, Islamic Republic, Maoism, Marxism, Marxism-Leninism, Monarchy, Oligarchy, Parliamentary democracy, Parliamentary government, Parliamentary monarchy, Presidential, Republic, Socialism, Sultanate, Theocracy, and Totalitarianism. All of the government's work in a different way, and have different laws. The U.S. runs under a Federal Republic government. A Federal Republic government is “A type of government made up of a federal state with a constitution and self-governing units”, according to governmentvs.com. All countries don’t use the same type of government. According to USA.gov, “The Constitution of the United States divides the federal government into three branches to ensure a central government in which no individual or group gains too much control: Legislative - Makes laws (Congress), Executive - Carries out laws (President, Vice President, Cabinet) Judicial – Evaluates laws (Supreme Court and Other
