In the novel, The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho, there is a passage from that book that stuck out to me as being the most pivotal and salient quote in this novel. The passage describes the conversation between Santiago and the camel driver while they were on their way to Al-Fayoum. The camel driver tells Santiago that when you are pursuing your own Personal Legend you must have no regrets because God is the one who oversees everything. Santiago, many times over, is being enticed to give up his search for fear of losing his belongings, money, and even his own life. But, if you are able to comprehend that a singular person plays a role in something that is superior to oneself, there should be no fear of these losses. Paulo Coelho, uses the principle
