War was about the battles, but leaders had to decide on those particular battles. Justinian was a leader who cheated people, rewritten people's wills so that everything they own would be transferred to him, didn’t pay his soldiers, and killed 30,000 people in one day. He also killed every political opponent, everyone in the towns of Italy, which set Italy back 200 years, and he led several wars. Justinian also had a power-hungry wife, Theodora, who helped drive Justinian’s power. In 548 A.D, Theodora dies of cancer, and 17 years later, Justinian dies as well. Clovis the I was another leader who caused lots of war and led the Franks. At the age of 15, he already had an army, and by the time he was 30, he murdered anyone and everyone related to him. Charlemagne was a leader who started 50 wars at the start of his reign and murdered anyone who didn’t become Christian. Although Charlemagne did do all those bloody things, he did almost pull Europe out of the Dark Ages. While having peace for about 30 years, he built several royal schools to start getting children and adults educated. The last leader, Ivor the Boneless, was the Viking who conquered Europe, erasing Charlemagne’s work, and then led the Vikings to the theft and downfall of Europe.
