"The victory is only a matter of quickness of eye and quickness of foot"(page 94). This is important because when Rikki was fighting he really wasn't worried about the killing just that he could see a destination and run. The quote adds a clear perspective to the piece of literature. It stood out to me because sometimes it is not all about winning, so if you are in something and finish you already won. It foreshadows that everything is not always about winning, it is just about finishing what you started. This quote reveals that when Rikki was fighting with Nag and Nagaina he still had doubt to fight a big cobra, however, as long as he got away he won."The victory is only a matter of quickness of eye and quickness of foot"(page 94).
