Many people from third world countries leave to seek a better life for them and most of all their children. They can be moving away from war, religious, gender, economic, and educational oppression. America was developed off immigration and it was and still is the land off freedom and opportunity. People from third world countries look to the United States as a light of hope. What is really the American way of life? To me that would just be more tech advance as well as a more modern way of living. The American way of life was formed from immigrants, so I do not believe that third world immigration is a threat to American’ way of life.
When people move to a different country usually they assimilate because they do not want to be the odd ones out. If a particular immigrant was blocked or sheltered to see only the way of their people; initially they will have a major shock moving to the states. But this feeling will not last forever, the United States is very fast past and people are usually independent. Immigrants that come to the states try to learn the system quickly so they can get their family to a good standing. School is a major influence in a child’s life. Immigrant children attend school and observe how their fellow American classmates act and growing up in this environment will definitely shape their life. They may have a different culture at home but the educational system will give them more knowledge on the history of the United States and culture. They celebrate American holidays in school and children carry on what they learned at a young age. The American way becomes the norm.
