Timothy William Burton was born on August 25, 1958, in Burbank, California. His father was a former minor league baseball player and his mother owned a cat gift shop. His younger brother was born in 1961. Although he grew up in a typical American family in a typical American suburb,Tim Burton really didn’t have a great childhood. He was never close to his family and he spent almost all his time in his room or watching TV. His family tried to get him to do activities such as baseball or even after school things, but he never participated. Finally when he was ten years old, he moved in with his grandmother. She let him have his peace and be alone, which he greatly appreciated. He didn’t have many friends growing up.
