The government is in over their heads. They think they’re the “big dog” and we even call them “Big-Brother”. “Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country” (Franklin D. Roosevelt). Franklin says the government is not in control, but this country is letting them over power us. Why does the government get to make the laws? Why can’t the American people all get together and discuss what is happening? They won’t be able to stop the American people, because of the first amendment. It gives us the right to speak freely. So why don’t we use it ? The American people might say if we use it to much the government might just take the first amendment away, but if we don’t use it what is the reason for having that amendment. First it is our privacy what’s next? Is the government going to try and take away our freedom of speech
