Why Abortion Should be Illegal
In 2015, 906,000 abortions took place. That's 906,000 innocent lives taken. Women and girls who get pregnant unintentionally end a life when they get an abortion. Because of their mistake someone loses a chance at life. Abortion should be illegal because an innocent life is being ended, abortions reduce the amount of adoption and women should take responsibility for their actions.
For every abortion a women gets an innocent child's life is ended. “It’s a sad fact that courts in both the US and European countries do not consider the unborn child a human being worthy of protection” (Milligan). Every person should have a fair chance at life, and whether they are in the womb or not this is America and everyone is equal. Unborn babies are considered human beings by the US government and killing an innocent human being is wrong, even if they aren’t born yet. Also, Abortions reduce the amount of adoptions. For people and families that can’t conceive or want another child in the family normally go to adoption. The number of infants adopted have gone down over the years. Around 135,000 children are adopted each year. One question that people might have is what to do if there aren’t

There's always a chance of pregnancy even when you use protection. You should take responsibility for your actions if something does go wrong. The baby’s life shouldn’t be taken for something that the parents are responsible for. In 2013 unmarried women were responsible for 85.2% of all abortions. This fact shows that most of it are womens mistakes and they don't want to deal with the challenges of having a child. Most of the women or even girls are probably still in school and their decisions would make their school experience much harder unless they just got rid of the problem or the baby with abortion. Girls should take care of their own mistakes and the answer shouldn’t be taking a

Many people will disagree with me and say that abortions are murdering innocent babies but how are you murdering someone that isn't even born yet ? Most people do not know what it feels like to struggle to keep a child and care for it. Children come with responsibilities that most people cannot handle and it is not fair they should have to suffer the consequences because of one mistake. It should not be up to President-elect Donald Trump to make that decision for millions of…

What is to happen to them? Abortions are a personal decision for the woman and for her body. Abortions can be done because the woman may not be in a time of their life where they are ready for children (financially, emotionally, relationship/ age-wise). People often say "USE PROTECTION!" and then "IT'S YOUR FAULT", but how do you know? Contraceptives are not always 100% effective, even when combining more than one. Sex shouldn't be something people use as a fear tactic. Sex shouldn't be taught as a punishment. Additionally, the growing fetus may be physically harming the woman or girl or destructive to itself. And to add to the original point, 14,000 abortions have been a result of rape or incest. If you were to place yourself in that womans shoes, how much would you hate yourself to be forced to carry your assaulters…

Killing the life of an innocent child is not the only alternative. Adoption is a wonderful alternative. According to www.sdadefend.com, there are approximately 1.6 million abortions in the U.S. every year, which is about 4,383 a day and 3 per minute. That’s an abortion every 20 seconds! Abortion should not be performed unless it concerns the health of the mother that makes her unable to carry a child. There have been many arguments about whether abortion should be legal or not. In an editorial from the Washington Times, entitled “Abortion is no minor matter”, its written that the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which is pro-choice, wants to delay a 1995 law that requires parental or legal guardian consent for a minor to have an abortion, while the Americans United for Life (AUL), which is pro-life, has supported the Pregnant Women Support Act in 2006 and was an important role in the Harris v. McRae decision that occurred in 1980. There are many things that the government should acknowledge before passing laws about the legalization of abortion, such as the choice of adoption, the dangers of abortion and every human being having the right to live. Conforming to www.womenissues.about.com, life begins at conception of a baby, and abortion is no different from murder because it is taking a human life.…

An abortion, defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is a “medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus.” In simpler terms, anyone who has had an abortion has inhumanly murdered an innocent child. “Every single day, (abortion) kills more Americans than were killed on 9/11. Every single year, (it) kills about as many Americans as have been killed on all the battlefields in all of the wars in U.S. history combined. Abortion is a national disgrace. Overall, more than 50 million babies have…

A child should not be punished for your irresponsibility. An abortion is not a condom, or the morning after pill; you are actually hurting someone. If you truly are not ready for the responsibility do not hurt a child put them up for adoption because then you can always explain to the child you were not prepared for the responsibility.Abortion has reduced the number of adopted babies. The number U.S. infant adoption dropped from about 90,000 in 1971 to 18,000 in 2007 (Koch). Abortion is a heavily debated issue in our country. Many people believe it is immoral and unethical, while some see it as a necessity. Whether the fetus is one or forty-five weeks old, many still see it as murder. At what point of the term of a woman’s pregnancy, is a fetus considered a human being? This issue is still up for further debate. The debate in regards to abortion stems from whether a woman should have the right to end her pregnancy or give birth. I personally do not believe in abortion, however, I also believe it is a woman’s right to make that decision, especially in situations regarding teen pregnancy, financial hardships, rape, and incest. The following paragraphs will describe these circumstances in greater detail, supporting why I support pro choice abortion rights.…

What is an abortion? Should abortions be legal in the United States? An abortion is the termination of a pregnancy. Today, abortion is one of the most controversial topics in the United States, some people believe abortions should be illegal, but abortions are legal nationwide. My opinion is that abortions should be illegal because an unborn baby should have a chance at life just like the two who conceived it. Abortions should be illegal because there are ways to prevent a pregnancy, it is the killing of a living human being, murder, and it’s a possibility that a woman can have complications after an abortion including psychological trauma.…

How would it be like if you weren’t allowed to choose what happens to your future? Some women do not get the luxury of choosing for themselves due to some laws set and they do not get the option whatsoever. That should be different as women are the ones who carry the babies, not the ones who are voting against it. Even though the baby never had the chance to live life, women should have the right to choose what they want to do with their baby because it may be bad for the women herself to have to care of a baby, they may not be prepared for a baby, and we do not know their circumstances of the situation.…
