Essay Scholarship

Ever since I was 18, I'd been working full time to support my family. My step-dad left my mother and my half brother as soon as he was born, therefore I was the only adult male in the family. Our family lived on my income alone, so I could not afford to go to college at the same time. For four years, I let my educational goals to be on hold.
My mom now is back in condition to work again. She got a full time job as a manicurist at a local spa. As we have another source of income, I do not need to work as hard and am able to attend college. However, even with financial aids, my family do not have enough money for me to afford the cost of tuition, books, and transportation. This scholarship will help me to be able to go to school and pursue my dream career as a businessman.
This degree is very important to me. Not only it will help me to get a better career in life, but it also will help me support my mother and my four-year-old half brother. I grew up without a father, and it was difficult for my mother alone to provide everything I need as a child.
