Martin Luther King, an African-American leader and humanitarian activist, who worked to end racial discrimination against blacks in America. He took risks to deliver his message. He believes that “Africa belongs to all the people who live in it; not to a specific denomination or specific group”. He fought against white domination and black domination. He wanted to turn Africa into a democratic country where all people live in unison with equal opportunities. He was prepared to sacrifice or to die to achieve his dream. As a result of his opposition campaign and a nonviolent revolution; he was imprisoned for more than 20 years. In 1990, he was released from prison. In 1994, he became president of the new South Africa after fair elections were held for the first time. He was the leader to Satyagraha which means "The Persistence of Truth" and it is a philosophy that focuses on nonviolent resistance as a means of achieving social and political reform. He organized Nonviolent and peaceful protests with peasants, farmers, and workers in the central province against excessive land taxes and discrimination in treatment. In 1915 he became the leader of the Indian Nationalist Movement Campaigning. He took advantage of his position to reduce poverty, build religious and national harmony, stop ostracism, promote economic self-reliance, and to achieve his life goal by making India independent. Some Hindus did not like his law which respected the rights of the Muslim minority. They look at Gandhi as treacherous, so they planned to kill him. At the age of 78, Gandhi was found dead by three bullets from a Hindu Brahmin who was opposed to Gandhi's support for Muslims.
