Will You Help Save Them Today?
Today there is only about 3,200 of them left in the world, but that was all very different in 1990 when their population was immensince. Then the population decreased by over 100,000 in the span of about a year. People have poached and hunted them for not only as food and for their fur, but sometimes just for game too, and now because of this they are going extinct. The tiger population is dwindling without most of the world even realising it. They would normally be found in most large forests where no one can find them, but now that the forests are shrinking in size, most have been reduce to the large open spaces in Asia, mainly Thailand, India, and Korea. These are the last known places where a large tiger population
They want to achieve this by using their scientific research and relocating the tigers to a place where their prey is high and the landscape works well with the tiger. Another thing that they want to do is monitor the tigers by making sure that they stay healthy and that the places that they rome will have enough prey for them to live off of. The last major thing that they want to do is help the countries stop tiger poaching and selling, by working with an organization called TRAFFIC, they will help make sure that all of the animals stay out of harm's way. The only organization that is capable and willing to do all of this is an organization called the World Wildlife Fund(WWF). Their mission is to, “Conserve nature and reduce the most pressing threats to the diversity of life on Earth”(WWF). They work in six main areas and devote as many of their resources as possible to these areas. They have saved many people and other species like tigers from life threatening situations. They plan to do all of this by taking small steps to achieve the overall goal of making this world a better and healthier place for all living things. They work with many different companies and organizations to help make sure that what needs to get done, gets done. They have take almost any volunteers that are willing to help out in any way possible, and they will give money donations to charities if they think that you are doing the right thing. They offer many programs that you can choose from if you want to donate money, and you can also chose who or what you want to donate money too. They have six main sections that are very important to the earth that they put their main focus into, they are forests, marine, freshwater, wildlife, food and climate. If we can help these sections, then we could help keep this earth healthier and alive longer, and although all of this sounds great, but you can’t help but wonder where all of the money comes from to fund these amazing
