Eternal life is a curse after all

A person with any intelligence at all will realize after a few minutes of thought that eternal life of any kind is a curse. So for religious people eternal life takes on two flavors, hell, and heaven; and for them these two choices are very black and white, or good, and bad. Their description of hell paints the picture of a mentally ill god that revels in the death and suffering others. Hell is an infinite punishment earned not through any particular sins or wrong doings, but for hurting the ego of god by "not believing in him". So to clarify I could cure AIDS, give money to charity, and be generally well liked atheist but deserve hell, while Hitler a Roman Catholic would make it heaven for believing in god. Now heaven for religious people is described as an endless paradise. What do humans really enjoy? On a basic level, good food, lots of sex, and entertainment. Isn't that what you look for in an ideal vacation? These three things take into account a biological body though; your "soul" doesn't eat, have sex, or enjoy a good movie from what I know of religious mythology. So religious people will often describe heaven is "being able to worship god forever for all eternity". Wow. That sounds pretty bad, I get to stay on my knees forever groveling and feeding the ego of god by telling him how great he is and how much I love sitting next to his foot worshipping him. When I use to teach high school science in Cairo Egypt the kids also had a religion class. Well one day I finished my lecture early and said "hey if you need to study anything go for it, Im done for the day", so one of them pulled out his religion homework. Out of curiosity I wanted to see what the kids were being brainwashed with when they weren't in my class so I said "what is this?". Well apparently they were learning about heaven (the Islamic variety probably filled with virgins covered from head to toe that have their fathers near them to cut off your head if you give them a second look...yeah the suicide bombers didn't think that through). Well he explained to me that there are four angels that "have the best job in heaven". So I said, "oh, what is their job?". Then he explained to me how their job is to hold up the throne of god for all eternity and support him on their shoulders. It took me a half a second to realize that this job was the cruelest job ever imagined. So god loved these angels so much to say "hey as a personal favor to you, just because I love you so much, you get carry my on chair forever..it's a pretty good job except for the hours which are 24 hours a day 7 days a week until the end of time which is never". From this I gathered that what I would call heaven (a giant orgy with cheeseburgers) didn't exist in the minds of the religious. It boggles my mind how religious people can't see that either form of the afterlife would be a curse, and that heaven sounds like a distasteful place invented by a very insecure petty god. From what I can see heaven was invented more for god than humanity as it seems to simply be a vehicle for god to get more recognition and worship, and has nothing to do with actual human wants or desires."
