LYING IN BUISNESS
Q. In a business context, is it ever okay to lie? If yes, what are those situations? Why is it okay to lie in these situations?
There are times when individuals in business do lie, but, honesty is the best policy with business dealings and by doing so in most cases an amicable agreement can come about. Doing business is about both parties getting something out of the business deal. Lying will only cause problems eventually and if the business person gets away with the lie then eventually their company will be considered not a trustworthy company to deal with.
It is not always good point to lie in business But there may b some situations where it is ok to lie in business. Such as helping of others, lying for others for solving their problems and etc. In business context, it is only ok when the purpose is lying for positive purpose so when the person lie in business it should be for positive purpose means to avoid the risk and to attract the customer.
Q.A recent survey revealed that 2percent of managers said they have fired someone for lying. Do you think it’s fair to fire an employee who lies, no matter what the nature of the lie? Explain?
No its not fair to fire an employees are lying because first of all Manager should analyze the situation because whenever the employee lie their may be a situation in which he cannot speak the truth. The manager should notice the outcome of the lie of their employees.
It’s the duty of the manager to analyze that why the employees are lying and what would the situation behind this act. The employee may have some reason to lie so the manager should understand the nature of the problem
