Ethical Perspective
I think that, in this situation, being right or wrong depends on the ethical perspective of each individual. In my opinion, it is unethical to just walk away from obligations because, when you take out a loan, you basically are giving your word that you will repay the lender. On the other hand, I do think that it should be considered when a person reaches a point where it would be impossible for him or her to keep making the mortgage payments. And it should be considered when the value of the house or property has decreased dramatically. If I was in that situation, walking away would be my last option. Also, I would try to do it in a legal way. I did some research and I found that there might be some legal ways to avoid some of the consequences
