In addition to that, ethical thinking involves the complex process used to consider the effect of the actions on the individuals or organization we serve. The basis of ethical decision-making involves choice and equilibrium which guides to discard bad choices in favor of better ones. Therefore, in making ethical decisions, we need to question ourselves and think if some kind of attitude is descent in determinate situation.
Advisor development programs have to explain ethics and the role culture and values in ethical decision-making which helps our institutions being more diverse. It happens when we face to recognizable differences, such as age and race, or also hidden differences, like culture and disability. Advisors need to be conscious that they bring their own set of values to the advising meetings and avoid the differences in values as they work within their institution's regulations and standards.
