A. Group Registration 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. You must ONLY work in a group of 9 to 10 people. Your group has to choose ONE topic from the given Assignment 1 topics as in Appendix A1. Your group has to do Assignment 2 as detailed in Appendix A2. Register for the topic by filling up the hardcopy form provided in the lecturer class. For Assignment 1, each topic can only be registered by a maximum of 3 groups. The registration for topic is on a first come, first serve basis.
B. Report B.1 General Instructions for Assignment 1 & 2 1. You are required to prepare a CONCISE report (8-15 pages) and presentation slides (maximum of 12 slides) for the assessment. 2. You are encouraged to write your report in point forms. The complete report should not be more than 15 pages (1 mark will be deducted for any extra page of the report in excess of 15 pages). 3. Report specifications: Font size: 12, Font type: Times New Roman, Line spacing: 1.5. 4. Your report must be ORIGINAL. If you have borrow ideas, wording or anything else from another source such as a website, a journal, an article or a book, you have to make appropriate references in your report. Failing to do so constitutes a serious offence of plagiarism! 5. All reports will be checked for plagiarism using the Turnitin software. Based on the originality report generated by the software, marks will be deducted as follows: 15 – < 25% plagiarized : 20% of the total assignment mark 25 – < 35% plagiarized : 35% of the total assignment mark 35 – < 50% plagiarized : 50% of the total assignment mark More than 50% plagiarized : 0 mark 6. Please make sure that you use the sample cover page as provided in Appendix A3 (Delete the “Topic No” for Assignment 2). B.2 Instructions for Assignment 1 1.
