Our ethics are the moral principles, which govern our behaviours every single day. Each person has a different set of ethics, and beliefs, which guide them through their every day lives. Each persons beliefs are different to the next, so leads to a very complicated system. Many people argue about ethical issues, and struggle to come to a conclusion about the surrounding issue, due to differing opinions. Peoples ethical beliefs can stem from multiple different things, including their religious, philosophical, and cultural beliefs. An abortion, is the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy - often before 28 weeks. This means that a woman has the choice whether she is going to go through with her pregnancy, and has the option to terminate if she wants. Abortion is not accessible in all countries in the world, it is famously illegal in Ireland, and many African countries. Within New Zealand, abortion is legal, with medical confirmation. Each day, there is conflict between pro-life (anti-abortion,) and pro-choice (pro-abortion,) protestors. This is because it is an ethical issue which is hard to come to a conclusion for. It is equal parts supported, and as it is protested, and this is why their is so much discussion about why it is legally allowed to be performed in most countries. There are two different types of abortion. The abortion pill, is a pill taken which terminates the foetus without having to have surgery of any kind. There is also surgical abortions, for later term pregnancies, where the foetus is removed through surgery. The issue which is questioned is, is this murder, or is this a basic right to all females? The people of the Satanic temple, believe in Satan being the ultimate opponent to tyranny, and they are huge advocates for reproductive rights. They often attend pro-life movements, dressed in dominatrix baby costumes, and demonstrate by pouring milk over themselves. Many women are still fighting for their reproductive rights, as they believe they should have adequate and protected access to abortions, and other reproductive rights within their own countries. Often, countries strengthen restrictions on abortions, as they have been doing in the United States over the years, and although abortions are legal, they become virtually impossible to get.
